About Care Concern North West

Care Concern was formed in 1996 and is dedicated to providing a service of exceptional quality to the local community across West Lanacashire and Sefton.

We supply domiciliary home care servces to clients who need personal care and support in their own homes through either our local Social Services or by direct arrangment with the individuals themselves or their families.

We are a preferred Provider for Lancashire County Council registered for the elderly, physical and sensory disabilities and mental health. We are also Care Quality Commission approved with a latest report October 2009 giving us a Quality Rating of Excellence.

Why Community Care?

Community Care covers a broad range of care services from companionship through to medical care, provided in a patient's home.

Aimed at people who require ongoing care for a long period of time, either full time or at regular intervals, community care is becoming an increasingly popular alternative to residential care.

We all value our independence and for many people the choice to be cared for in their own home can make a difference to their life and health.

Services vary greatly from companionship and personal assistance to household chores, accompaniment to hospital appointments and night-sits, in case the person is in need of help at night.

Care may also be required for a patient with a specific condition such as dementia or Alzheimer's.

It is important to meet your future carer before taking them on. If you or your loved one do not get on with them then don't feel uneasy about asking for someone different. Carers and the person they care for need to get on well and feel at ease in each other's company.

"Continuity of care is very important - people like to see the same faces calling at the same time." - Diane Birchall.

"We always send a smiley, friendly face to our clients."

Sometimes people do not like to admit or accept that they are in need of care. They may not have any specific illness or condition, but as people get older, problems with mobility can make day-to-day tasks more taxing and time-consuming.

Help with personal care such as bathing, dressing and eating can give people more time and energy to enjoy the rest of their day.
